Repatriation from St. Kitts & Nevis to Poland
We organise bringing the deceased from St. Kitts & Nevis to Poland: documents from the country of death, Polish permits and transport of the body or urn.
- Issuing authority and document
- Certificate: the Polish Embassy in Caracas. The export permit comes from the authorities of the country of death.

- The body is carried by air as air cargo. We agree the arrival airport and the handover point in Poland with the family.
- Timing
- The starosta and the consul have up to 3 days for their documents (Article 14(5) of the Act on Cemeteries). We give the full timing once the documents from St. Kitts & Nevis are collected.
- Price
- We will quote the price once we know the details.
Procedure: St. Kitts & Nevis
Poland is not a party to the 1973 Strasbourg Agreement on the Conveyance of Corpses, so bringing a body from St. Kitts & Nevis always requires the Polish consul's certificate.
Documents from St. Kitts & Nevis are authenticated with an apostille if a Polish office asks for it (the country is a party to the Hague Convention, HCCH, as of 13 October 2026).
Saint Kitts and Nevis: the embassy in Caracas
Saint Kitts and Nevis falls under the Polish Embassy in Caracas. The same district covers Venezuela, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago. The consulate accepts applications in person or by post and arranges visits by email.
For a body the embassy requires, among other things, a copy of the death certificate with an apostille. If an urn is to be brought, a cremation certificate and the funeral home's confirmation of a sealed, damage-resistant container are added. The certificate can be collected in person or sent by post at the applicant's cost. The page describes the procedure of the embassy in Caracas, not of the island state, so we confirm each requirement before documents are sent. We handle the whole: the documents, contact with a funeral home on the island and the transport to Poland. We clarify the detailed requirements of this country's authorities on request in your case.
The Polish consul's certificate
The certificate is issued by the consul of the mission named on gov.pl: the Polish Embassy in Caracas.
How to get them: the starosta's permit and the consul's certificate.
