XREQUIEM brings the deceased home from Israel to Ukraine from €2,900. We collect the death certificate from the Population and Immigration Authority, have it translated from Hebrew, deal with the Embassy in Tel Aviv and book a flight to an airport near Ukraine. The journey itself takes from 24 hours after collection.
“You were always available, whatever the time…” — Віта Х. “Everything was organised with great dignity, professionally and with attention to every detail.” — Тамара Ю. “Every question was resolved promptly, with respect and attention to detail.” — Olha B. “…your support, compassion, sense of responsibility and professionalism meant a great deal to us.” — Ірина Б. “It all went quickly and professionally…” — Оля К. from €2,900 including documents, the coffin and transport to your town. We will give you the exact price within 5 minutes.
Summary. In Israel a death is recorded in two steps. A doctor or paramedic writes a notification of death, and the Population and Immigration Authority then issues the certificate in Hebrew. If the cause of death is unknown, the autopsy can only take place at the National Centre of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv. After that the body flies to an airport near Ukraine, and our vehicle drives it home. The funeral in Ukraine is extra.
If it has just happened
Most often the person was visiting relatives in Israel or was there on holiday, and the family at home reads no Hebrew and has no idea which office to go to. You do not need to find anyone. Call us and we will tell you where to start.
We ask which Israeli city the body is in: a hospital, a morgue or the National Centre of Forensic Medicine. We find out what papers you already hold and quote the amount to your town in the same call.
In a hospital it is written by a doctor. If the person died outside a hospital, death is declared by a doctor who was present or by an ambulance paramedic. This is not yet the death certificate.
It is issued in Hebrew by the Population and Immigration Authority, part of Israel's Ministry of the Interior. We take care of the translation and certification for Ukraine.
Israel orders one when a death is unexplained, sudden or violent. Organs are not removed, only small samples are kept. Then the body is released.
The translated Hebrew papers go to the Embassy of Ukraine in Tel Aviv, Ukraine's only mission in Israel. The consul registers the death of the Ukrainian citizen and certifies the border papers.
The body is laid in a hermetic metal coffin, which is then sealed. Whether embalming is needed is up to the airline flying out of Israel, so we ask before booking.
The coffin leaves Israel by plane, and our vehicle picks it up at an airport close to Ukraine. We hand the deceased over at the address you give us.

In Israel the papers come from several bodies: the hospital, the Population and Immigration Authority, the local health bureau and sometimes the police. Which ones your case needs depends on where and how the person died, and we find that out locally.
We go through these administrative steps on the family's behalf.
Ukraine's only mission in Israel is the Embassy in Tel Aviv. The Israeli death certificate is in Hebrew, so for the consul it is translated into Ukrainian and certified.
The family rarely has to travel to Tel Aviv, as we file the consul's papers ourselves. Other consular matters: The Ukrainian consulate when someone dies abroad.
The journey from Israel includes a flight: by air to an airport near Ukraine, then by road in our vehicle to your town. A road journey would be very long, through several countries.
Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Beersheba, Netanya, Ashdod or any smaller town: we collect from a hospital, a morgue or, after an autopsy, the National Centre of Forensic Medicine. Ben Gurion, near Tel Aviv, is the main international airport. Tell us the city and we will give you the route and the price.
From Ben Gurion the coffin goes in the hold of a passenger aircraft or by cargo plane. We never promise a direct Israel to Ukraine flight.
At the airport the coffin is met by our specialist vehicle, which takes it across the border to your town in Ukraine.
From the moment the body is collected, it reaches your town in 24 hours at the least. The waiting is usually for the certificate, any autopsy in Tel Aviv and a free slot on a flight.
Ukraine admits the body only in a sealed hermetic metal coffin, and the airline out of Israel has its own rules too. See Air transport and Coffins.
These Israeli specifics come from the UK government guidance “When someone dies in Israel” (11 November 2025). It is aimed at British families, so in your case we check each point with the Israeli authorities.
From €2,900. We price your case as a whole: from the Israeli hospital or morgue, through the flight, to your town. A funeral in Ukraine is paid for separately.
The price includes:
Coffin of your choice and urn: free of charge.
The price moves with the airline fare on the day and with an autopsy, if the body went to the forensic centre in Tel Aviv. The Israeli city, embalming, your town in Ukraine and the share your insurer pays count too. We ask about all of it in the first call. Other countries: Prices.

From €2,900. The final figure for Israel depends on the city, the flight and what your insurer pays. Call or send a request and we will quote the whole way from Israel to your home. A funeral in Ukraine is priced separately.
The journey itself takes from 24 hours after collection. The longest waits are for the certificate from the Population and Immigration Authority, an autopsy in Tel Aviv if one is ordered, the Embassy and a seat on a flight. We handle these at the same time.
Not always. According to government guidance for families, an autopsy is possible when the cause of death is unknown, sudden or violent. If the police request one, they first seek the consent of the next of kin; if relatives cannot be found or refuse, the police must obtain a court order. Autopsies are performed only at the National Centre of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv. No organs are removed, only samples. We stay in contact with the authorities and tell you when the body is released.
The Population and Immigration Authority. In a hospital a doctor writes only a notification of death, a different document, which is needed, among other things, for the burial permit. The certificate is in Hebrew, so it is translated and certified for Ukraine.
The airline flying the body out of Israel decides: some carriers take only embalmed bodies. If embalming matters to you, say so early. More about preparing the body.
Metal, hermetic and sealed, or Ukraine will not admit the body. The rules of the airline leaving Israel are agreed beforehand. Coffin types: Coffins.
As a rule, no. We handle the Israeli paperwork and message or call you after each step. If your own signature is needed in person, we warn you early. Running the case from home: When the family cannot travel.
From you: the deceased's passport or a photo of it, your passport, proof of kinship and a power of attorney for us. The Hebrew papers, the apostille, the translations and the Embassy in Tel Aviv are on us.
Yes, when repatriation of the body is in the policy. A photo of it is enough: we check the cover and deal with the insurer directly, also while the body is still in Israel. Paying before the insurer says yes risks losing the refund. See Insurance and bringing a body home.
Yes, from €800. Cremation is allowed in Israel. At the Ukrainian border an urn needs the death certificate and a consulate-certified certificate of no prohibited items. Keep the cremation certificate too, and warn the airline early. More on the Urn transport page.
